Adding to the marathon medal collection.

Recovery week 2 post-Chicago Marathon, so not a whole lot of really exciting news to report. My HR monitor has been jacked up since Chicago so not reporting that data. Just put a new battery in so hopefully that’ll fix it.

Monday: Spin class, 17.5 miles. Good to get my HR up but my legs were like, “No, why?”

Tuesday: 4 miles easy in the morning, 32 minutes, beautiful weather. Massage after to flush the junk out. Some stretching/strength stuff later in the day (20 minutes worth from the Kinetic Revolution 30 day challenge).

Wednesday: Taught Pilates in the evening.

Thursday: 5 miles in the morning with CS on her last run before her half-marathon, 41 minutes. Taught Pilates in the evening.

Friday: 3 miles easy, first 1k with Morgan. Met with CS to set up a strength training program. Funny story … for as much as I love #extrasalt and feel like I do a lot of it … outside of Pilates, I don’t do any lifting. And the work we do in Pilates keeps me toned AF, but is designed to accommodate my entire class and isn’t running specific. Also my running form is horrendous.

Saturday: 5 miles easy with RR, 39 min. (I think the new battery is working, AHR was 145.) Then drove over to the midway point of the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon to cheer for friends, including CS who PR’d by 2.5 minutes! Taught 2 Pilates classes after.

Sunday: Completed my first session of the new strength circuit. Taught 2 Pilates classes.

Totals: 17 miles run, 6 Pilates classes taught, 17.5 miles spin, 60 minutes strength.
